Im On Birth Control Depo Shot To Be Exact It

Im on birth control depo shot to be exact it usually stops my period but when i got it again in june ive been on my period and spotting ever since I just got the shot again two days ago hoping it would stop the bleeding but im still spottong and i dont know why is this normal? Should i consider another method of birth control
