I'm On Day Four Of Post Tonsillectomy And I Had

I'm on day four of post tonsillectomy and I had some concerns on the gaping holes on each side of where my tonsils use to be. I know they were removed, but it doesn't seem right when I look at them in the mirror. I haven't got to talk to my doctor about it yet but I wanted to try and find an answer in the mean time. To me it looks like my stitches broke or something went wrong and now I have two holes that should be concealed. I don't know if it's suppose to look this way base off of the way my doctor did the procedure or not because I didn't get to talk to her after the surgery so I don't know what to expect. I'm suppose to have another check up two weeks from the surgery but that's kinda a long time to check up on something like this, what if they need some more work now? Why risk 14 days later? Idk I'm not a doctor, I'm just concerned about my body and unfortunately I feel abandoned by the very people I trusted to do this operation on me. Any answer would help, thank you.
