I'm On Protonix, Have Been For Years Now For Stomach

I'm on protonix, have been for years now for stomach problems. Problem is, for the past 8 months it hasn't been working anymore. I'm constantly suffering heartburn, nausea, dry heaving, vomiting, and usually have hiccups whenever I eat. No medicine really seems to help? Any ideas for some immediate relief? I have an appointment in a week at the gastroenterologist, but I'm tired of the pain and really need to work and it's making it hard. Is appreciate the advice.
