I'm On The Birth Control Pill And Been Taking It

I'm on the birth control pill and been taking it for 4 months straight without a break I skip the placebo and continue to the active pills .. However this week starting Sunday I didn't start on active pills right away but took my placebo pills it is Wednesday now and i still gotten my period .. how long is it till i have my period ? And am I still safe to have sex ? And when it's time to start my active pills which is Sunday can I take them even though I still haven't had my period ?
