I'm recovering from a viral pharyngitis that started 4 days ago, and was almost fine yesterday. I'm taking ibuprofen. The problem is: everytime I sneezed, my throat hurted the next time I swallowed saliva. Then I "moved" my trachea a little with my hand or something like that, and I could swallow again without pain. But yesterday, after swallowing food, it started again and I could not make it stop. It hurted very much to swallow, as if something was broken, cutting or in the wrong place. The pain was below the adam's pome (and more to my left side) and very different from pharyngitis/laryngitis/tonsillitis pain (had tens of then over my life). It still hurts now, but very mildly. The pain is in the front of my neck. What could it be?
