I'm trying to determine whether to have the recommended (by my foot and ankle Dr) ankle fusion surgery or have an ankle replacement. He says he would not do the replacement surgery because it is too risky. He has seen too many people loose their lower leg. I am 65 years old. have done really well with 2 knee replacements in the past 8 years. what are your thoughts. Should I seek another Dr.?
