I'm Very Concerned About My 14 Month Old Son. He's

I'm very concerned about my 14 month old son. He's had a cold with a severe cough (which isn't as bad now) for about 2 weeks now. He's making these weird swallowing noises and it's like he has to catch his breath afterwards and his stool has been mushy and today it was pale/clay colored and didn't really even resemble actual stool. He has an extremely big appetite and is very happy and playful otherwise and doesn't seem to be in any discomfort. Please help! I took him to the doctors for the cold but they said it will pass.
