I'm Very Confused. I Was Just Diagnose Of Being Exposed

I'm very confused. I was just diagnose of being exposed to herpes, he didn't. Prescribed me Any medication. And just told me my life regular and practice safe sex. By that time I didn't know what to say and was just embarrassed. Later that week I got retested at a different clinic. And my results came back positive for herpes one and two.

What does all this mean. I don't have any outbreaks. Also my girlfriend and ex both tested negative for HSV. HOW WILL THIS. Affect my life and my life with my children
