I'm Wanting To Know If Xanax Is A Weaker Drug

I'm wanting to know if Xanax is a weaker drug than diazepam? because I can take Xanax without any problems but cannot take diazepam Zoloft Ativan or Klonopin I end up at the ER every time. so I'm trying to figure out what is the difference in the to the doctor I see says there's not a difference diazepam and it just last longer , but there's gotta be ingredient difference because no side effects from xanx. Would take it on a me to basis only but now the doctor at this new town I move to won't prescribe that to me just diazepam and I understand? thank you
for your time and your help it's greatly appreciate it one more thing is there any other way to taper off from Xanax other than taking diazepam?
