I'm Writing About A Dear Friend Of Mine. She Is

I'm writing about a dear friend of mine. She is a white American woman and speaks English, but while reading, the words looked like they were a foreign language...she didn't know what she was reading. She put her book down for a minute or so, and tried again. The same thing happened. She's really scared as she doesn't know what that was about and everything seems normal now.
