In 2004 I was diagnosed with Collagenous Colitis but in 2010 went into remission. I had taken a steroid but was taken off it in 2010. In last 2 years symptoms, bloating, nausea and diarrhea are slowly coming back. I went to my gastroenterologist a month ago and today. Five stool sample results came back but just one positive for Lactoferrin. Gave another stool sample today to retest for Lactoferrin. What does this indicate besides inflammation? I am 65 yrs old, 5' 5" and weigh 185 lbs.
