In March I thought I had something stuck in my throat and found it hard to swallow. I thought it was a piece of food particle stuff and after about a week, one night at dinner, it felt as though it got ' pushed down' and it went way, but the next morning I felt that I have something pushing against my esophagus, when I swallowed, I felt pressure on my upper chest and same as my back (musculoskeletal pain) near my spine. I have had a thyroid ultrasound and bloods all negative and it was all ok. My Dr's think its anxiety related (which I do suffer from) so I was put on paroxetine (20mg/day).... Some symptoms went away (pain in back, ribs and chest), but I sometimes still as though I had something in my throat after swallowing. 6 mths down the track and I have come off the paroxetine (as I was putting n too much weight) and 4 weeks or so later, the same feeling s that I had before are coming back (minus the back pain).... As the Dr's (2 of them) say that it is hypersensitivity caused by my anxiety, that I need to relax and let it be (as its in my mind).... But I don't believe that this is all it is. Any advise?
