In May 2015, I was diagnosed with staph infection & an abscess in Rt hip. SED Rate went down, Dr thought we beat it, then in Oct. my Rt leg began to swell from foot up to the hip. CT & MRI showed no abscess, Infectious Disease Dr put me on pick line for 56 days, swelling down & so were the SED rate numbers 18 1/12/16, Pick line was pulled and within 2 wks the SED rate climbed to 93 again. What is a normal rate for 65 yrs old woman; diabetic (test 1/day average Glucose 118.
