In My 70s...good Health...no Meds. From Time To Time I

In my 70s...good health...no meds. From time to time I get itchy ears, then the glands around the ear lobe swell and itch. Sometimes, only one, not both. Right now, left side around bottom of ear lobe is swelling and I have not had anything to eat or drink since lunch. Applied ice pack to stop swelling as I have done before and it works. Sucking on lemon drops. Should I be concerned? Concerned about my throat swelling and me not being able to breathe. Now, after ice and lemon drops it has subsided...for now. Several days from now, it will start to itch like crazy and swell if I scratch it. Anything sour will start it up again or makes me cringe for a few minutes....drink or food. Thought it might be an allergy...but I have none that I am aware of. Maybe just a blocked salivary gland and eventually it will unplug. This has been going on now for many months, but not constant...once in awhile. Any other thoughts that I can try? IF THERE IS A CHARGE FOR THIS...PLS DONT ANSWER. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME
