In The Past 2 Years I've Had On A Few

In the past 2 years I've had on a few occasions an infection in my navel- It is very deep about the length of my index finger and with the infection it bleeds a little and it smells foul. I irrigate it with peroxide and it will eventually clear up and then it will return. Do I need to see a general surgeon? I can't take the smell.
