Is Adapalene Gel Good For Treating Blackheads On Nose?

Is ap gel(adapalene gel) good and safe for treating deeply embedded blackheads on the nose...i have been prescribed by a friend doc recently but m a little bit hesistant to use it till now..my nose is covered with pores and blackheads all over it and i need a treatment to get rid of it.i have tried various natural treatments but not very helpful so far
