Is Biotin Helpful For Growth Of Hair On Scalp?

Hi doctor, I am 27 years old lady. my hair extremely static and frizzy. My hair grows till a bit below shoulder and then it refuses to grow. I use Dove as a shampoo and oil my hair once a week. i want to have really long and strong hair. i have heard Biotin helps, can u guide me on this?
