Is CT Scan Needed For Surgical Sutures Overlaying Left Apex Found In Chest X Ray?

I had an open lung biopsy about 10 years ago... just recently I had chest xray the findings were surgical sutures are seen overlaying the left apex. Ill-defined opacity seen overlying the left lung apex, superimposed on the anterior first rib.a stable calcified granule a present at the right lung base . Mild thoracic umber scoliosis seen convex to the right. Sense i had the biopsy I get broncitis easy. The radiologist recommended a CT but my dr does not feel necessary. I am concerned my mother had lung cancer. Should I call them and ask them to order ct?
