Is Clonazepam A Narcotic? I Stopped It Cold Turkey, Was

Is Clonazepam a narcotic? I stopped it cold turkey, was taking .05 two times a day for about 1 1/2yr, and decided it was not working anymore so I stopped taking it, but i am experiencing side effects, like chills, real hot to the point of sweating, fogged head, jitters, and anxiety and depression and some panic feelings. Is this normal when stopping this medication?
