Is Clonidine Advisable For Depression And Anxiety Attacks?

I am 53 years old and am in full menopause.I am quite irritable at times.I have problems sleeping. Im an emotional wreck. I also get these feelings of panick every day. I am not coping well at all. I burst into tears for no reason.I have had migraines for years and since menopause has really kicked in it seems i get headaches every day.My doctor has just prescribed me some Teva clonidine 0.025 mg twice daily.I get depression and i constantly feel horrible and sad. What do you think of these meds. Is it worth a try?. Please help me. I dont know what to do any more.
