Is D&C Advisable Or Should Wait For Natural Bleeding?

Hai DR,My doctor confirmed that on 16 jun 2011 i have an empty sac only 4 weeks growth,LMP was on 20 april 2011.she has prescribed me duphaston and pregnacare for 16 days,(June 1 -june 16),Now she told me to stop duphaston and come after 10 days for a d&c id natural bleeding didnt occur.Do i have to wait for a natural bleeding or D&C is better?D&c is much painful or not?Pls answer.I am 26 yrs.75 kg,159 cm,Bloodpressure -normal,sugar normal
