Is Duragesic Patch Safe For Alzheimer S Patient?

Is the duragesic patch a good thing to use on an Alzheimers patient? She just started with Alzheimers about May or so and is now is stage 7 of it? WIth the pain med she is just totally unable to speak or anything else. COuld she be on too strong a dose
