Is Evista Advisable For Osteopenia?

Thank you. I am 72 yrs old, post-menopausal with a history osteopenia. My mother had osteoporosis. Recently, I had a bone density done. I lost 3% in two years and 1.5 inches in heighth. This is the first time I have lost any heighth. My doctor is putting me on Fosamax, but my friend insists that Evista is better. Please give me your opinion. Thanks, Sally Welch
