Is Flurazepam Used For Anxiety In Addition To Being A

Is Flurazepam used for anxiety in addition to being a sleep aid? I know it is an old drug and I use it for sleep and have for years and it works for me. I know it was called Dalmane. Can't find anything on it in my drug book...and it is 6 years old. I don't take it every night, but since I don't, I was thinking of asking my doctor if I could take it for anxiety in the day time. It takes 2( or 30 mg) to get me to sleep when I need it. Thanks. Linda
