Is Growth Harmone Shots Recommended For Hormonal Imbalance In Children?

Hi I have almost 2 yrs old son. Restly a blood work was done because he stop growing & gaining weight, so they found out that his kidny is not working properly & they gave him cytra2. The way the dr explain me was too much acid in his blood & that s why he s not gaining any weight or growing . I also took him to a GI dr & he did test & he told me that his hormone is undetected. So I took him to specialist. So now this dr is telling me that he need to take a grown hormone shoots. I don t know what to do
