Is HPV Infection Cancerous In Nature?

I just went to the doctor yesterday and my gyn doctor said that i have HPV i just had a checkup 6 months ago and everything was fine and now it not my gyn doctor said that it not cancerous but im scared to deaf should i get a second opition and do my husband need to go to the doctor to get tested can my doctor get my chat mix up with a another paitent can that be possible it does not seem right can you help me.
