Is Herpikind Advisable For Herpes Zoster Disease?

Hi doctors.. my father is suffering with herpes zoster disease as i can match the symptoms on internet.. but the doctor whome my dad is consulting has prescribed him herpikind 800 mg medicine which is used to treat herpes simplex virus.. but herpes zoster is caused by virus causing chicken pox.. plz. Help asap.. i m in confusion
