Is Hydroxyzine, Safe For Skin Rashes In Infants?

Hello! My pediatrician just prescribed Hydroxyzine for daily use for my 5 month old daughter due to her skin rashes and exema(sp). Some of the description bothers me in giving it to her. From what I have seen on the internet, there has not been substantial studies on this for infants. Would you consider this medication safe or should I stick with something like benedryl? Thank you!
