Is IUD Safe After An Abortion?

I would like to inform you that i m Vishal, Married to poonam in the year 2005 and having two children both boys, one is 4 year old and second one is 1.5 yr. old, my age is 28 and her age is 26 I want to know about some family planning schemes like in which i am in doubt regarding copper t , i have studied that womens who had postpartum or post-abortion infection in the past three months;should not be recommended for Copper T, actually last month she concieved a baby and we were not in planning to do any more so we decided to abort it, we tried an pill which can be taken with in 20 days after concieving and its done, we actually dropped that infant and after that she starts bleeding for more than 14 days, so i am worried abot that is there any infection in her or its natural and would it be better to go for copper T immediately, she had just finished her period and today is the first day when she is not happing, so please let me know is it safe to go for IUD
