Is Marijuana Intake Safe While Having Bouts Of Idiopathic Pancreatitis?

I suffer from bouts of idiopathic pancreatitis. I haven t had a drink in over two years and never was a heavy drinker. I was wondering if it is safe to try marijuana? Would it be safer for my pancreas to smoke it or eat in am edible. Lots of conflicting info out there from it cures pancreatitis to it will trigger an attack. Thanks
