Is Naproxen Advisable For Stinging Sensation During Urination?

Can I take the medication Naproxin - 500 mg - for a mild bladder infection. I have a history of this infection, and the mild pan and discomfort is at the entrance of the urethra (I think that s what it is called). This is definitely not a kidney stone as I do have a history of them. Urinating more with a mild stinging sensation. I have this medication at hand and would like to take something for it.
