Is Orajel Cream, Good For Cancer Sores?

i have a canker sore and it really bothering me (almost 24/7). i bought a medicine/cream form Orajel. it say for fever blisters or cold sore but not for canker sores. can it still work for canker sores and if i use it, could it harm me or make the canker sore worse.
