Is A Separate Throat Culture Needed To Detect Syphilis?

I came into contact with syphilis, via oral and penetrative sex. I had a full STD panel, blood and urine, to check for syphilis and just other STDs in the process. Would a separate throat culture be necessary to test for syphilis of the throat? Or, will antibodies show up in the blood regardless of location?
