Is Administration Of Crushed Pantoprazole Safe?

Yes my dad is on pantoprazole 40 mg...It is being crushed due to he cant take anything by mouth and had a G`tube.. SO plz tell first off side effect of crushing this when it is a time realeased pill and also does it come in another form that can be put thru a gtube. My mom is a nurse and was just talking to therapist about this,,even thou he has only been on it for a few day, I am concerned about the fact of giving something that is time release at once so this is my question what should she do,
