Is An IUD A Good Solutions For Cysts And Polyps?
Is an IUD a good solutions for cysts and polyps or should they be removed?
My periods are extremely heavy with clots. I spot continually between periods too. (I am lucky though, because I have no pain or sickness with my periods and they are very regular.) I have been told that I have a cyst on my ovary and a polyp in my uterus. I have had good result cotrolling my period in the past using birth control pills. At this time, I do not want to use birth control that goes through my digestive track. My OB/GYN thinks the Mirena IUD would work well for me. I am married and have children.
My question is, should I address the problem of the polyp and cyst or is it ok just to control the symptoms? What does removal of a polyp and cyst consist of?
