Is An MRI Scan Safe With Harrington Rods Infused In Spine?

my brother had Harrington rods infused in his spine at the age of 10 yrs ,he now has a heart condition and they want to do an mri scan on him .We are wondering if it is safe for him to do this scan .Please can you help him by giving us your opinion . Thank You
