Is Birth Control Causing Continuous Bleeding?

I've been bleeding for the past two days, after which I was involved in sexual activity. My period was about two weeks ago, and I just started a new birth control. Why might I be bleeding? Is it the birth control? I have recently had a baby, 8 weeks ago.
