Is Bleeding Normal After Putting Ear Drops?

My sister was cleaning my sons ear with earbud yesterday, out of fear my son hit my sister hand and accidentally it went in with a force and he stared bleeding..we consulted the ear specialist and he told luckily it has not damaged the ear...he has given some ear drop and pain killer...the bleeding has stoped but the moment we use the ear drop and check the cotton in his ear it shows drops of blood still...is there any problem ??? we called up the doctor he told that as there is wound in the ear the momemt we will put the drops in his ear some blood will come out with the medicine..Is my son ok or we have to consult a doc again
