Is Brown Discharge Post Application Of Vaginal Cream During Pregnancy A Cause For Concern?

I am on a vaginal cream for a vaginal bacterial infection. The morning after starting the cream (have to apply it nightly), I noticed that I have brown discharge (in small clumps) throughout the day. I was bleeding vaginally before I started the medication because of the bacterial infection, and was wondering if it could be the blood clotting up. Should I be worried? I am also eight weeks pregnant. My last GYN appointment was the day before I started the medication, and everything was fine.
