Is Cardiac Catheterization Extremely Painful In Wrist?

is a cardiac catherization supposed to be extremely painfull up the arm when done in the wrist and not the groin. If a person s veins are very small, to where people who draw blood use a pediatric needle could it have hurt because of my very small veins when it was done in the wrist. Should it have been done in my wrist with such small veins?
