Is Colonoscopy Advisable While Having Severe Cough?

My husband has a scheduled endoscopy and a colonoscopy on Monday morning. But last night he started coughing and has a sore throat. Will they still do this procedure? It s the weekend and can t get a hold of the Dr. He is supposed to drink that stuff tomorrow? Should he drink it and show up Monday morning? Don t know what to do. He has been bleeding from his rectum, that is why they are doing this procedure. And he is 37 years old.
