Is Constipation A Side Effect Of Levothyroxine?

Yes, hello. I have been on lithium carbonate since 2003. Eventually it affected my thyroid. Been on Levothyroxine for a while-years. I have developed extreme constipation. Is this a side effect I should expect/ ait s VERY uncomfortable. I went to GI Dr., did bowel cleanse and will try Amitiza. what do u thnk?
