Is Continuous Bleeding After Fallopian Tubes Tying Normal?

I am 45 years old and have always had normal periods every 30 days. January 2009 I started taking the depo shot, I did this until December 2009, I would bleed for 6 sixs then stop for 2-3 weeks then start bleeding again for six weeks, this went on the entire time I was taking the shot. March 2010 I had my tubes tied and for 8 1/2 months did not have a period, now I have been bleeding for 2 weeks. Is this normal?
