Is Dark Brownish And Grey Bleeding While On Birth Control Normal?

So, I just started the birth control and i'm having some side effects from it. I read through the instructions and side effects it came with but i'm not exactly what is going on. I'm having some sort of vaginal discharge, it's almost like a period.. because... it's basically bleeding but it's really dark brownish/ almost grey, and I know that's normal but it doesn't seem like it.. and the past couple days i've also had some sort of orangish goopy discharge. I just want to know if this is normal or if I should go see my doctor. I don't want anything bad to happen, i'm only 17 :/
