Is Drainage On Preauricular Cyst In A Child A Cause For Concern?

Hi, my three year old girl has had three incision and drainage on preauricular cyst left side front of ear. The ENT said was unusual preauricular cyst and has sent part off to histology. Although it s probably nothing to worry about, I m wondering what do they test for?
