Is Eruptive Vellus Hair Cysts A Chronic Condition?

I believe I may have eruptive vellus hair cysts on my chests. I have always had these little bumps on my chest since I was a child. I have noticed that I have significant fewer bumps now at age 27 than at age 5. I am wondering if this is a chronic condition? Does it spread to other parts of my body the older I get?
