Is Eustachian Tube Stent Treatment Viable For Clearing Ears?

I am a pilot that has had issues with clearing my ears during pressurization changes in the aircraft. I visited a local ENT and was prescribed steroids. The treatment provided no relief and ear tubes were the next option. After doing research online I saw some discussion on stents for Eustachian tubes. Is this a viable treatment?
