Is Frostbite, Related With Intermittent Redness Of Hands?

Hi Doctor, we went sledging yesterday and I notice that my hands turns red and we're still at the top so I hurriedly go down down to cottage. I did not do anything. I just kept my hands in my pocket.We we arrived home, the redness is gone. My question is, do I got frostbite? Do I need to go the hospital?
