Is Fungal Scalp Infection And Ringworm Same?

My niece has been diagnosed with a fungal infection of the scalp. Would like to see pictures of this condition, and is this also called ringworm. Could this be caused by bedbug bites or a bott fly bite? She also has several white pustules in the center of some red spots with bald patches.
