Is Having Continued Bleeding After Depo Shot Normal?

hello, i have been in the menopause stage for about 2yrs and no periods. I decided that i might want to be sexually active, and did not want to chance getting pregant so i got the depo shot. I got the shot in midde of oct,10 and i have had a period for the last 2 weeks. when before i had not had a period in 2 yrs,, im confused i thought the shot was to keep u from having a period
